Erie dropped their third straight game after winning their first four in a game where the pitching just went away. Jon Kibler got the start and while he lasted 5 2/3 innings, he finished with the loss and he gave up six runs on nine hits and two walks with three strikeouts. With this being Kibler’s second straight rocky start, you wonder if the jump over Lakeland to Erie was warranted. The only pitcher who didn’t give up a run was Cody Satterwhite, who pitched a shutout ninth frame.
Jeff Frazier went two for four with a pair of runs in the 9-3 loss. Maxwell Leon went two for four with a walk and a run.
