Hens Held to One Run In Loss to Columbus

by @ 5:52 pm. Filed under Chris Lambert, Josh Rainwater, Toledo Mud Hens - July 2009, Wilkin Ramirez

A solid start by Chris Lambert went to waste in the Hens 8-1 loss to Columbus.  He gave up a run on seven hits and a walk with two strikeouts in six innings.  Josh Rainwater made his Toledo debut and he fell to 0-1.  He gave up three runs on three hits and two walks with a strikeout in 1 2/3 innings.

The Hens couldn’t get much done at the plate and what’s funny is the Clippers have some of the best pieces of the 2007 Indians team that almost made the World Series.  Both Fausto Carmona and Rafael Betancourt threw in this game.  Wilkin Ramirez was able to get something done and he went three for three with a walk and a solo home run.
