Erie didn’t just lose two games to Altoona, they didn’t score a run as they lost both ends of the doubleheader.  In the first game, Altoona beat Erie 6-0 in a game that saw Erie outhit Altoona 3-2 yet still lose.  Jeffrey Gerbe took the loss and he fell to 0-1.  He gave up six runs (four earned) on two hits and five walks with one strikeout in six innings.

Game two was more of the same with Erie being held to a pair of hits in the 3-0 loss.  Corey Hamman fell to 0-3 and he gave up three runs on five hits and three walks with six strikeouts in four innings.
