The White Caps played a tough doubleheader that saw them outscored 20-7 in the two games. In the first game, they picked up six runs but the pitching gave up thirteen. Jonah Nickerson was particularly hit hard and he dropped to 3-5 on the season. He gave up ten runs on eight hits and three walks in just 1 2/3 innings. Ryan Strieby was the hitting star. He went three for four with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs.
In the second game, the offense was held to just one run on five hits in a 7-1 loss. Deik Scram went two for three with a double and an RBI. Josh Rainwater took the loss and he gave up three runs in four innings.
Gorkys Hernandez played a role in all three White Caps runs in their 3-2 win over the Lugnuts. He went one for four with two RBIs and a run. Jeffrey Kunkel was the only White Cap with two hits.
Randor Bierd (cool name) picked up the win with three perfect innings of relief. He improved to 1-1 on the season and he struck out four.
Christopher Cody had a decent start go to waste in the White Caps 6-2 loss to Lansing. He gave up three runs on six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in seven innings of work. Reliever Jose Fragoso was hit hard in the later innings and he gave up three runs in the final three frames.
Gorkys Hernandez went two for five with a double and a run. He’s now hitting .317 on the season. Jeramy Laster went two for three with a double and a run.
The White Caps blew out Fort Wayne 11-5 and Brennan Boesch had a monster game at the plate. He went four for four with two double, four RBIs and two runs. Scott Sizemore also had a great day. He went four for five with a double, two RBIs and three runs.
Duane Below didn’t have his best stuff but he still got the win with all of the offense. He gave up five runs on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Brandon Timm had a big day at the late in the White Caps 10-2 win over Fort Wayne. He went three for four with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs. Gorkys Hernandez went two for five with two RBIs and a run.
Angel Castro threw eight shutout innings and he picked up the win. He gave up four hits and a walk with three strikeouts and he improved to 4-3 on the season.
Lauren Gagnier was hit hard and he gave up four runs in one inning of work in the White Caps 8-7 loss to Fort Wayne. He gave up three hits and three walks with a strikeout.
Ryan Strieby had a big day at the plate. He went three for five with a double, a homerun, four RBIs and two runs. Deik Scram went one for four with a triple and he scored two runs.
Josh Rainwater three four shutout innings of relief in the White Caps 6-0 win over Fort Wayne. He gave up just one hit and a walk with four strikeouts. Jeffrey Gerbe threw four shutout innings in his first start of the season.
Jeramy Laster homered and drove in two runs in the win. Scott Sizemore hit a solo shot.
Christopher Cody got it done on the mound in the White Caps 3-2 win over Beloit. He gave up two runs on five hits and he struck out ten in eight quality innings. The win improves his record to 4-3 on the season.
Jeffrey Kunkel was the hitting star in the win. He went three for four with a triple, a run and an RBI.
The White Caps offense was held in check their 5-1 loss to Beloit. James Skelton went one for four with a double and an RBI in the loss. Deik Scram doubled and he scored the only run.
Duane Below dropped to 4-2 on the season in a decent start. He gave up three runs on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts in six innings of work.
Jeramy Laster put the White Caps on the board with a grand slam in the fourth inning but that’s all the White Caps would get in their 5-4 loss. Laster was also the only White Cap to pick up two hits.
Angel Castro took the loss and he dropped to 3-3. He gave up five runs (four earned) on five hits and five walks with one strikeout.
Lauren Gagnier dropped to 2-5 on the season with a tough start in the White Caps 8-2 loss to Beloit. He gave up four runs on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts in six innings.
Jeramy Laster hit a solo homerun in the loss. Deik Scram finished the game with three hits.
The White Caps lost 3-2 but Gorkys Hernandez picked up two more runs in the loss. He went two for four with a double and he’s now hitting .333 on the season and he has 22 runs and 20 stolen bases in 35 games.

The White Caps were down by two runs heading into the ninth when they rallied for three runs to top Quad Cities 6-5. Gorkys Hernandez drove in the winning run with a single and it was one of three RBIs he had in the game. Santo De Leon also had a nice day at the plate. He went three for four with a run and an RBI.

The White Caps beat Quad Cities 4-3 and Michael Bertram had his had in most of those runs with a nice game. He went two for three with two doubles and three RBIs. Brennan Boesch went one for three with a walk and two runs.

The White Caps entered the ninth inning tied with Quad Cities but after three ninth inning runs, they walked away with a 5-2 win. Audy Ciriaco homered and drove in three runs while Deik Scram went a perfect three for three. Gorkys Hernndez didn’t have a hit, but he walked twice and he stole two bases to bring his season total up to 17.
Angel Castro had a nice start. He gave up one unearned run on seven hits and a walk with three strikeouts in six innings of work.
Gorkys Hernandez hit a two run homerun for the White Caps in their 5-4 win over the Loons. Brandon Timm went two for four with two RBIS and a run while Santo De Leon had two hits and two runs.
Lauren Gagnier picked up the win and he improved to 2-4 on the season. He gave up three runs on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts in six innings of work.
James Skelton continued his terrific season with four more hits in the White Caps 12-5 win over the Loons. He doubled twice, drove in three runs and scored one and he’s now hitting .366 on the season. Ironically, the White Caps got it done against Dodgers top prospect Clayton Kershaw, who along with Andrew Miller, is considered one of the best left handed pitching prospects in baseball.
Jonah Nickerson picked up the win despite a poor outing. He gave up five runs on five hits and three walks with one strikeout in six innings and the win improved his record to 3-3.
