Trevor Feeney improved to 3-6 on the season with a spectacular start in the Tigers 2-0 win over Vermont. He gave up three hits and he struck out nine in seven shutout innings. Daniel DeLucia gave up two walks and didn’t give up a hit in two shutout innings to earn his first save of the season.
The Tigers managed five hits but it was good enough for the win. Wade Lamont singled and drove in a run while Billy Nowlin drew a walk and drove in one.
Jared Gayhart gave up three runs in the seventh inning and a one run lead turned into a two run loss in the blink of an eye. It’s too bad because a solid start by Trevor Feeney went to waste. He gave up two unearned runs on two hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings.
Brent Wyatt went two for four with a run. Wade Lamont doubled and scored a run in the 5-3 loss.
The GCL Tigers took care of the GCL Indians in an 8-2 win and designated hitter Craig Maddox played a part in half of those eight Tiger runs. He went two for four with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Wade Lamont singled, drew two walks and scored three times.
Justin Miller picked up the win and he improved to 1-1 on the season. He gave up two walks with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 shutout innings.
Just about everyone was a hitting star in the GCL Tigers 15-5 win over the GCL Phillies. Brandon Harrigan had a team high four hits in five at bats with a double, two RBIs and four runs. Wade Lamont went two for five with a double, three RBIs and two runs.
Kelvin Cedano improved to 1-0 with the start. He didn’t give up a single base runner and he struck out two in 2 2/3 innings.
Aaron Fuhrman gave up four runs (just two earned) on four hits in three innings in the GCL Tiger’s 6-1 loss to GCL Phillies. He walked two in the game and he struck out two.
Wade Lamont went two for four and he drove in the only run of the game for the Tigers. Luis Arlet went two for three and he drew a walk.
