The SeaWolves finally picked up their first win of the season and they did it in dramatic fashion. After the pen gave up two runs in the top of the ninth to give up the lead, Max St. Pierre then belted a two run walk off home run in the bottom of the ninth to win it. It was nice because a solid start by Thad Weber almost went to waste. He gave up a run on one hit and three walks with three strikeouts in six innings. Ryan Ketchner picked up the win despite giving up four runs in three innings of relief.
St. Pierre had a big day at the plate. The walk off home run was his second home run of the game and he finished three for four with three runs and three RBIs. Shawn Roof went two for three with a run.
So much for the Eastern League being a hitters league at least for the SeaWolves. They once again were shut down at the plate and were held to four hits in all in a 4-1 loss to Trenton. Andy Dirks doubled, drew a walk and scored the lone run. Justin Henry doubled as well.
A solid start by Thad Weber went to waste. He gave up two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Luis Marte pitched 1 1/3 innnings and he didn’t allow a baserunner.
Erie took care of New Britain tonight in a 6-4 win and Brennan Boesch was amongst the hitting stars. He went two for four with a solo home run and he scored three times. Deik Scram belted a three run blast to put the SeaWolves on the board in the first inning.
Thad Weber improved to 7-4 despite a mediocre start. He gave up four runs on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings. Kris Regas pitched 1 2/3 shutout innings to close out the game and he picked up his first save of the season.
Erie had plenty of hitting stars in their 16-3 win over the B-Mets but Alex Avila really shined in this one. He went three for five with three home runs and seven RBIs in the win. Brennan Boesch also had a great game and he went four for five with two doubles, a home run, three RBIs and three runs.
Thad Weber picked up the win and he improved to 4-2. He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings.
Thad Weber had about as good of a start as you could ask as the SeaWolves took care of the B-Mets 5-1. He gave up one run on five hits with three strikeouts in eight solid frames.
Brennan Boesch went two for four with a pair of runs. Casper Wells went two for three with a double and three RBIs.
Erie couldn’t score a single run and all they picked up were four singles in their 1-0 loss to the Curve. Danny Worth drew three walks while Alex Avila went one for three with a walk.

Thad Weber made the most of his season debut with the SeaWolves after his promotion from Lakeland. He improved to 1-0 and he gave up just two runs on eight hits and one walk with four strikeouts in six innings.
Andy Dirks singled and drove in a pair of runs. Cale Iorg had a nice game and he went three for four with a double, an RBI and two runs.
Thad Weber was about as good as you could ask. He gave up just one run on five hits with no walks and six strikeouts in seven innings. Unfortunately, Lakeland’s offense didn’t put a single run on the board and he fell to 4-4 for his efforts
The Flying Tigers picked up just five hits in the 1-0 loss. Chris Carlson went two for four with a double while Santo De Leon went two for two with a walk.
Thad Weber improved to 2-2 on the season with an exceptional start in the Flying Tigers 5-0 win. He gave up two hits and three walks with six strikeouts in six shutout innings. Lester Oliveros didn’t allow a hit in the final two frames to complete the shutout.
Audy Ciriaco went two for three with two RBIs and a run. Kyle Peter went two for three with an RBI and two runs while Andy Dirks singled, drew two walks and scored twice.
Lakeland got nothing done at the plate tonight as they lost to Daytona 3-1. No hitter got more then one, all three hits were singles and no hitter reached base more then once. Shann Roof drew a walk and he scored the lone run of the game for the Flying Tigers.
Thad Weber fell to 0-2 on the season. he gave up two runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in five frames.
The White Caps took care of business with their backs against the wall in a 11-0 win over South Bend. The win forces a winner take all game three tomorrow. Thad Weber was outstanding and he gave up just two hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six shutout innings. Andrew Hess threw a shutout seventh and Orlando Perdomo closed out the game with two shutout frames.
Alex Avila went two for five with three RBIs and a run. Roger Tomas went three for four with a double and two runs while Justin Henry went three for four with two runs and two RBIs.
