Auburn ended Oneonta season yesterday as the Tigers hitters were held mostly in check until a two run ninth made it a close 4-3 ball game. Christopher White was the hitting star and he went three for five with a double and two RBIs.
Sendy Vasquez took the loss with a tough start. He gave up all four runs on six hits and two walks with in just 2 2/3 innings.
Sendy Vasquez improved to 6-5 with a nice start in the Tigers 8-2 win over Lowell. He gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts in eight innings.
Adrian Casanova was the hitting star in the win. He went two for three with two RBIs and two runs.
Oneonta pulled off a pair of wins after yesterday’s game was postponed because of fog. The first game saw a nice outing by Sendy Vasquez. He improved to 5-5 and he gave up one run on three hits and six walks with two strikeouts in five innings. Cory Middleton had the big hit with a grand slam and Casper Wells went three for four with a triple, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs in the 9-2 win.
The second game saw the pitching go out the window as the Tigers won it 9-7. Mark Brackman improved to 6-6 despite giving up six runs in six innings. Wells and Justin Henry each had three hits, two RBIs and a run in the win.
Oneonta had a tough time at the plate in their 8-2 loss to Auburn and they were held to just a couple of runs on three hits. Cory Middleton was the only hitter to reach base twice. He doubled, walked and drove in a run in the loss.
Sendy Vasquez was shelled and he fell to 3-5 on the season. He gave up six runs on five hits and six walks with five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.
Oneota capitalized on two errors and a wild pitch to score unearned runs in the fourth inning to beat Staten Island 3-1. Cory Middleton was the only hitter to reach base twice. He doubled and drew a walk.

Lakeland lost 11-3 to Clearwater tonight and it was Sendy Vasquez who took the brunt of the offensive onslaught. He gave up eight runs (five earned) on nine hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.
Cameron Maybin had the night off in this one. Justin Justice continued to hit the ball well and he went two for three with a triple, an RBI and a run.
Justin Justice had another great game with three RBIs in the Flying Tigers 7-5 win. Cameron Maybin went just one for three but he stole his seventh base in eight tries. Wilkin Ramirez was the only Lakeland hitter to go yard.

Lakeland lost 5-2 today and it wasn’t even that close because the Flying Tigers scored both of their runs in the ninth inning. Cameron Maybin was the hitting star and he went two for four and he scored on of the two runs.
