Oneonta Comeback Falls Short As Season Ends

Auburn ended Oneonta season yesterday as the Tigers hitters were held mostly in check until a two run ninth made it a close 4-3 ball game.  Christopher White was the hitting star and he went three for five with a double and two RBIs.

Sendy Vasquez took the loss with a tough start.  He gave up all four runs on six hits and two walks with in just 2 2/3 innings.

Sendy Vasquez Throws Eight Solid Innings In Oneonta Win

Sendy Vasquez improved to 6-5 with a nice start in the Tigers 8-2 win over Lowell.  He gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts in eight innings.

Adrian Casanova was the hitting star in the win.  He went two for three with two RBIs and two runs.

Oneonta Sweeps Doubleheader Over Brooklyn

Oneonta pulled off a pair of wins after yesterday’s game was postponed because of fog.  The first game saw a nice outing by Sendy Vasquez.  He improved to 5-5 and he gave up one run on three hits and six walks with two strikeouts in five innings.  Cory Middleton had the big hit with a grand slam and Casper Wells went three for four with a triple, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs in the 9-2 win.

The second game saw the pitching go out the window as the Tigers won it 9-7.  Mark Brackman improved to 6-6 despite giving up six runs in six innings.  Wells and Justin Henry each had three hits, two RBIs and a run in the win.

Oneonta Held to Three Hits In Loss to Auburn

Oneonta had a tough time at the plate in their 8-2 loss to Auburn and they were held to just a couple of runs on three hits.  Cory Middleton was the only hitter to reach base twice.  He doubled, walked and drove in a run in the loss.

Sendy Vasquez was shelled and he fell to 3-5 on the season.  He gave up six runs on five hits and six walks with five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.

Oneonta Wins Despite Getting Just Two Hits

Oneota capitalized on two errors and a wild pitch to score unearned runs in the fourth inning to beat Staten Island 3-1.  Cory Middleton was the only hitter to reach base twice.  He doubled and drew a walk.

Sendy Vasquez improved to 3-4 on the season with a nice start.  He gave up one run on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts in seven innings of work.

Oneonta Scores Eleven Runs In First Three Innings in Win Over Jamestown

Casper Wells was one of the hitting stars in Oneonta’s 11-2 blowout win over Jamestown.  He had a team high three hits and he scored two runs.  Ron Bourquin went one for three with a walk, a triple, two RBIs and two runs.

Sendy Vasquez picked up the win and he improved to 2-4 on the season.  He gave up two runs on three hits and three walks with five strikeouts in six innings of work.

Errors Cost Oneonta in Loss to State College

Two errors resulted in two unearned runs that made the difference in Oneonta’s 3-2 loss to State College.  Sendy Vasquez took the loss and he fell to 1-4 on the season.  He gave up three runs (just one earned) on three hits and five walks with four strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

Christopher Carlson went two for three with a double and a solo homerun.  Justin Henry went two for five with an RBI.

Oneonta Shutout By Hudson Valley

Oneonta had a tough time getting much done at the plate with only six hits and no walks in the game.  Cory Middleton had the only extra base hit for the Tigers with a double.

Sendy Vasquez fell to 1-3 with a tough star. He gave up six runs (five earned) on five hits and six walks with four strikeouts in four innings.

Oneonta Held to Four Hits In Loss to Vermont

Oneonta couldn’t get anything going at the plate as they were held to just four hits in a 4-1 loss to Vermonth.  Christopher Carlson doubled and he drove in the only run for the team while Cory Middleton doubled and scored the only run.

Sendy Vasquez fell to 1-2 on the season with the loss.  He gave up three runs on five hits and a walk with nine strikeouts in six innings.

Sendy Vasquez Pitches Oneonta to Win Over Vermont

Sendy Vasquez improved to 1-1 on the season with a nice start in Oneonta’s 4-2 win over Vermont.  He gave up two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in six innings of work.

Devin Thomas belted a two run homer in the win.  Christopher Carlson went two for four with a double and a solo homerun.

Sendy Vasquez took the loss in a rough start in Oneonta’s 13-8 loss to Lowell.  He gave up eight run (six earned) on five hits and six walks with a strikeout in just three innings.

Michael Sullivan was the hitting star in the loss.  He went three for three with a double, a triple and he scored three runs.

Sendy Vesquez Hammered in Lakeland Loss

Lakeland lost 11-3 to Clearwater tonight and it was Sendy Vasquez who took the brunt of the offensive onslaught.  He gave up eight runs (five earned) on nine hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

Cameron Maybin had the night off in this one.  Justin Justice continued to hit the ball well and he went two for three with a triple, an RBI and a run.

Justin Justice Drive in Three In Lakeland Win

Justin Justice had another great game with three RBIs in the Flying Tigers 7-5 win.  Cameron Maybin went just one for three but he stole his seventh base in eight tries.  Wilkin Ramirez was the only Lakeland hitter to go yard.

Sendy Vasquez had a rough start but the pen and the hitters picked him up.  He gave up four runs on three hits and four walks with three strikeouts in five innings.

Cameron Maybin Has Two Hits in Lakeland Loss

Lakeland lost 5-2 today and it wasn’t even that close because the Flying Tigers scored both of their runs in the ninth inning.  Cameron Maybin was the hitting star and he went two for four and he scored on of the two runs.

Sendy Vasquez had a tough start and he dropped to 0-2.  He gave up five runs (four earned) on seven hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

Cameron Maybin Still Hitless After Blow Out Loss to Tampa

Sendy Vasquez was shelled today in a blowout loss to the Tampa Yankees.  He gave up five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

Cameron Maybin went 0 for 3 and he’s now 0 for 11 on the season.  Wilkin Ramirez had a nice game at the plate.  He went two for four with a solo homerun.  Ryan Roberson also went yard for the flying Tigers in the 10-4 loss.
