Oneonta fell to Aberdeen 7-2 as the New York/Penn League came to a close. Emmanuel Miguelez gave up just one run but it was the first one and he took the loss. Sean Finefrock gave up five runs in just 2/3 of an inning but only one of those runs was earned.
Michael Sullivan went three for four in the loss. Jorge Patino went two for four and all eight of the Tigers runs were singles.
Oneonta won their division and they’ll begin a best of three game series beginning Sunday. Their opponents will be the Auburn Doubledays.
Sean Finefrock fell to 3-5 on the season in a tough loss in Oneonta’s 9-6 loss to Hudson Valley. He gave up seven runs (six earned) on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
Jorge Patino was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for four and he drove in two runs.
Outside of Christopher Carlson, Oneonta’s hitters had a tough time at the plate in their 4-2 loss to the Cyclones. Carlson had three of the Tigers five hits and he drove in both runs. He homered for the tenth time and he also doubled.
Sean Finefrock fell to 3-4 with a mediocre start. He gave up four runs on nine hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings.
Oneonta took two after a rain out the day before forced a doubleheader with Auburn. In the first game, Ron Bourquin led the way at the plate with a nice game. He went two for three with two doubles, an RBI and three runs. Kody Kaiser went two for three with two RBIs. Sean Finefrock improved to 3-3 with the win. He gave up three runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.
In the second game, Christopher Carlson went two for four with a double, three RBIs and a run. Bourquin capped off a nice day with two more hits and a walk. Chris Homer picked up the win with two shutout innings.
Sean Finefrock fell to 2-3 on the season with a rough start in the Tigers 5-2 loss to Brooklyn. He gave up four runs (all in the first inning) on six hits and a walk with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
Christopher Carlson went two for five with an RBI. Jorge Patino went two for three and he scored a run.
Rudy Darrow gave up two runs in the top of the tenth inning as Oneonta lost to Aberdeen 10-8. He fell to 0-3 on the season and it didn’t help that Sean Finefrock was shelled for six runs in less then four innings of work.
Ron Bourquin went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs. Casper Wells went two for four with a solo homerun and two runs.
Sean Finefrock improved to 2-2 on the season with a great start in Oneonta’s 4-0 win over Mahoning Valley. He gave up just one hit and a walk with three strikeouts in eight shutout innings.
Ron Bourquin went two for four with a run and an RBI. Justin Henry went two for three with an RBI.
Oneonta got pretty much nothing from their hitters in a 4-0 shutout loss to Jamestown. A single and a double were all the Tigers could manage in the game.

Sean Finefrock improved to 1-1 on the season with six solid frames in Oneonta’s 4-3 win over State College. He gave up one run on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
