Will Rhymes scored on a triple and an error in the top of the ninth to tie things up with Indianapolis but unfortunately, Jay Sborz gave up a ninth inning run and the Hens lost 5-4. For Rhymes, it was his fourth hit of the day and that matched the rest of the team combined. Casper Wells doubled, drew a walk and scored a run.
Ryan Ketchner gave up four runs (two earned) on eight hits with six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings in his start. Dan Schlereth pitched a shutout eighth inning and most importantly, he didn’t allow a walk. Sborz took the loss and he fell to 1-2.
The SeaWolves finally picked up their first win of the season and they did it in dramatic fashion. After the pen gave up two runs in the top of the ninth to give up the lead, Max St. Pierre then belted a two run walk off home run in the bottom of the ninth to win it. It was nice because a solid start by Thad Weber almost went to waste. He gave up a run on one hit and three walks with three strikeouts in six innings. Ryan Ketchner picked up the win despite giving up four runs in three innings of relief.
St. Pierre had a big day at the plate. The walk off home run was his second home run of the game and he finished three for four with three runs and three RBIs. Shawn Roof went two for three with a run.
It was another tough day at the plate at the SeaWolves hitters were held in check in a 4-1 loss to the Thunder. Jeff Kunkel tripled and scored the lone run while Shawn Roof singled Kunkel home.
Duane Below fell to 0-1 in the loss. He gave up three runs on four hits with seven strikeouts in four innings. Ryan Ketchner gave up a run on four hits in three innings of relief.
Ryan Ketchner improved to 2-0 on the season with a really nice start as the Hens finished their season with a 3-0 win over the Clippers. He gave up just six hits and he struck out two in the shutout.
Will Rhymes went three for four with a triple, an RBI and a run. Scott Sizemore went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI.
Ryan Ketchner made his Hens debut yesterday and he really got the job done in a 2-1 win. He gave up one run on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in seven innings. Zach Simons threw two shutout innings to close out the game and he picked up his first save.

Lakeland lost to Dunedin 3-2 in game where the Flying Tigers managed to pick up just six hits in the game. Jeramy Laster accounted for Lakeland’s offense with a two run home run in the fourth inning while Audy Ciriaco singled and scored a run.
Ryan Ketchner took the loss and he fell to 1-4. He gave up three runs on five hits and one walk with six strikeouts in six innings. Austin Wood threw two innings of shutout relief to close out the game.
