Randor Bierd gave up three hits and he was credited with three runs without getting a single out in the game. The loss dropped him to 2-1 on the season and a nice start by Eddie Bonine went to waste. He gave up two runs on seven hits with two strikeouts in seven innings.
Matthew Joyce drove in both Erie runs with a two run homer. It was his sixteenth long ball of the season.
Erie took care of Trenton 4-1 in ten innings and while Dallas Trahern didn’t pick up the win, he kept the Seawolves in the game. He gave up one unearned run on just three hits and three walks in eight innings of work. Randor Bierd improved to 2-0 on the season with a shutout ninth inning.
Jeff Larish doubled, drew three walks, drove in two and scored a run. Jackson Melian singled and drove in two runs in the win.

This was a tough one. Dallas Trahern gave up three runs in his six innings of work and when he left the game, Erie had a six run lead (they had as much as a seven run lead earlier in the game). Then in the very next inning that he’s pulled, the bullpen is tagged for nine runs and Erie said bye-bye to the lead. Kevin Adroin took the loss but the bulk of the damage was given up by Randor Bierd, who gave up six of those nine seventh inning runs.
Clete Thomas had a huge day at the plate. He went four for four with a triple, a homerun, four RBIs and three runs in the 13-11 loss.
Gorkys Hernandez played a role in all three White Caps runs in their 3-2 win over the Lugnuts. He went one for four with two RBIs and a run. Jeffrey Kunkel was the only White Cap with two hits.
Randor Bierd (cool name) picked up the win with three perfect innings of relief. He improved to 1-1 on the season and he struck out four.
A great start by Christopher Cody went to waste today as the White Caps lost 3-1 to the Lug Nuts. He gave up just one unearned run on two hits and a walk with eleven strikeouts through 6 2/3 innings but he left the game tied 1-1 because West Michigan couldn’t get their sticks going. Then Randor Bierd gave up a two run homerun in the ninth and he took the loss.
Ryan Strieby singled home Deik Scram for the only run of the game. James Skelton had two of the White Caps four hits.
