The White Caps got some top notch relief pitching as they took care of Dayton 5-4 in ten innings. Wilton Garcia improved to 9-4 and he struck out four in three innings of shutout relief while Noah Krol pitched a shutout tenth to earn his fifteenth save of the season.
Jordan Newton drove home the game winner with a sac. fly in the tenth. Newton also homered earlier in the game and Kody Kaiser went belted a two run homer in the fourth inning.
Mauricio Robles improved to 5-3 on the season with a nice start in the White Caps 4-2 win over the Dragons. He gave up just four hits with four strikeouts in five shutout innings. Noah Krol pitched a shutout ninth and he picked up his thirteenth save of the season.
Jordan Newton went two for four with a pair of RBIs. Cory Middleton went one for two with two runs.
Roger Tomas singled home Kyle Peter in the top of the ninth inning and that turned out to be the game winner in the White Caps 5-4 win over South Bend. Ron Bourquin had a nice day at the plate and he doubled, drew two walks and drove in a run while Tomas finished with two runs and two RBIs.
Wilton Garcia picked up the win and he improved to 2-1 despite the tying run scoring on him. Noah Krol pitched a perfect ninth and he picked up his fifth save of the season.
Noah Krol blew his first save of the season and he gave up a pair of runs in the ninth inning in a 2-1 loss to Kane County. To his credit, a throwing error by Roger Tomas on a bunt in the ninth inning didn’t help things.
Kyle Peter went two for four with a walk, a double and a run. Joseph Bowen singled, doubled, drew a walk and scored.
Alfredo Figaro improved to 3-0 on the season with a nice start in the White Caps 5-3 win over Beloit. He gave up just two runs on six hits and one walk with two strikeouts in six innings of work. Noah Krol threw a perfect ninth and he picked up his third save of the season.
Ron Bourquin singled twice, drew a walk and scored two runs. Casper Wells was a perfect three for three with a pair of RBIs.
