Jeff Frazier doubled and belted a solo homer as he was pretty much the SeaWolves offense in their 6-1 loss to Altoona. Nick McIntyre also had a nice game and he went two for three with a double.
Lucas French took the loss and he fell to 0-2. He gave up five runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Erie scored three late runs but all that did was turn a 6-0 deficit into a 6-3 loss. With the loss, Erie is now down 2-1 in their best of five game series and they’re in a must win situation heading into today’s game. Andrew Kown took the loss and he gave up three runs on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts in six innings.
Clete Thomas went two for five with an RBI. Nick McIntyre singled twice and he scored two runs.
Like the Mud Hens, the Seawolves lost a high scoring game as they kicked off their playoff series with Akron. Eddie Bonine took the loss and he gave up five runs in five innings but he wasn’t just the problem. Anthony Tomey and Freddy Dolsi were both shelled as well in relief outings.
Nick McIntyre went two for four with with a homerun and two RBIs. Michael Hernandez also went yard with a solo shot while Daniel Worth had a team high three hits with a run and an RBI.
Andrew Kown improved to 6-8 in what was his last regular start of the season for Erie. He gave up three hits and a walk with four strikeouts in eight shutout innings.
Daniel Worth went two for four with a triple, three RBIs and a run. Nick McIntyre went two for four with a double and two runs.
Matthew Righter fell to 2-2 on the season with a tough start in Erie’s 5-4 loss to Reading. He gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings.
Jeff Larish went two for two with a solo homerun. Nick McIntyre belted a solo homerun and he scored two runs while Kody Kirkland went two for three with a double and a run.
Jeff Larish hit a two run blast in the eighth inning that gave the Seawolves a 5-4 win over Trenton. He was one of two Erie hitters with two hits with Nick McIntyre being the other.
Andrew Kown had a pretty good start although he didn’t pick up the win. He gave up one run on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts in six innings. Roman Colon gave up three runs in two innings but he was the one to pick up the win.
Erie hitters had a rough day at the plate in their 5-1 loss to the Fisher Cats. Erick Almonte was the only Seawolf with two hits and Nick McIntyre doubled and scored a run.
A pretty good start by Jair Jurrjens went to waste. He gave up just one run on six hits and two walks with two strikeouts in six innings. Matthew Rusch took the loss with a rough relief appearance in which he gave up four runs in 1 1/3 innings.
