The Mud Hens scored six runs in the top of the fourth inning and that was what they needed to push away from the Bats in an 8-6 win. Jeff Frazier went two for five with a double and a three run home run. Jeff Larish went two for five with two RBIs and a run.
Nate Bump improved to 4-0 despite a mediocre start. He gave up four runs on six hits with two walks and three strikeouts in five innings. Clay Rapada got the final batter out and he picked up his fourth save of the season.
Nate Bump got it done again as he improved to 2-0 in just two starts this season. The 32 year old former Marlin gave up just six hits with two strikeouts in 7 1/3 shutout innings. Casey Fien pitched a shutout ninth and he picked up his eighth save of the season.
Will Rhymes went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI. Brent Dlugach went two for four with one double, a run and an RBI.
Nate Bump improved to 1-0 on the season with a nice start in the Hens 2-1 win over the Louisville Bats. He gave up a run on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts in seven innings. Ryan Perry struck out four in two innings to pick up his second save of the season.
Ryan Roberson drove in both Hens runs with a two run blast in the second inning. Brent Clevlen singled and he scored the other run.
