Oneonta Loses Two to Vermont

by @ 6:38 pm. Filed under Adam Wilk, Gary Perinar, Jamie Johnson, John Murrian, Michael Torrealba, Oneonta Tigers - July 2009

Oneonta lost not only their suspended game from last night, but they also dropped today’s game as they got their fill of baseball.  Game one was a 3-2 loss in eleven innings.  John Murrian led the way at the plate and he went three for four with a double and an RBI.  Adam Wilk had a really nice start and he struck out seven and he gave up just one hit in five innings.  Michael Torrealba dropped to 1-1 and while he did a solid job in three innings, he gave up the game winner in the eleventh.

Game two was a lot rougher.  Gary Perinar was shelled for six runs in 1 1/3 innings and all three pitchers the Tigers threw out there were tagged for runs.  Jamie Johnson was the hitting star and he went two for four with a double and two runs.
