The Hens and Bulls almost played two games as they finished a 15 inning marathon after over four and a half hours. Matt Rusch took the loss and he fell to 2-3 after he gave up a pair of runs in the top of the fifteenth. A solid start by Lucas French went to waste and he gave up two runs on five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in seven innings.
Brent Dlugach went just one for six but his one hit was a two run blast. Brent Clevlen went two for five with a walk and a run.
The Hens took care of business in each of their games over the Red Wings. In the first one, Clete Thomas went two for three with a double, a walk, a run and two RBIs. Jeff Larish doubled, drew a walk, a run and two RBIs. Ruddy Lugo improved to 6-5 despite a mediocre start. He gave up three runs on seven hits and four walks with two strikeouts in five innings. Freddy Dolsi gave up an unearned run and he picked up his fourth save of the season.
Game two was an eleven inning marathon. Thomas had another nice game and he went three for five with two doubles and an RBI. Scott Sizemore went three for six with a triple, a home run and two RBIs. Lucas French struck out ten and gave up just one run in six innings. Fu-Te Ni threw two shutout innings to close out the game and he improved to 3-0.
The Hens got nothing done at the plate in a 1-0 pitcher’s duel against the SWB Yankees. Scott Sizemore doubled and Dusty Ryan singled and that was it as far as offensive production.
A really nice start by Lucas French went to waste. He gave up one run on seven hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in eight innings. For his troubles, he fell to 1-1 on the season.
The Hens took care of Charlotte 5-1 and Lucas French got it done on the mound. He gave up just five hits and a walk with six strikeouts in seven shutout innings. Casey Fien gave up a run in his two frames but it was good enough for save number four.
Don Kelly led the way at the plate and he went two for four with a double, two RBIs and a run. Brent Dlugach went two for three with a walk and an RBI.
Lucas French looked solid on the mound as he picked up the win in the Hens 5-3 win over the Clippers. He gave up just three hits and he struck out eight in six shutout innings. Freddy Dolsi got the final four batters out in order and he picked up his first save of the season.
Ryan Raburn was the hitting star in the game. He went three for three with a walk, a double, a homerun and two RBIs. Brent Clevlen went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI.
Casper Wells went yard three times in the SeaWolves 11-2 win over Harrisburg. He finished with five RBIs and he joined three other hitters who left the park.
Lucas French improved to 6-11 with a nice start. He gave up one run on seven hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in seven innings.
Lucas French didn’t get the decision, but he threw a very nice game in the SeaWolves 3-1 win over Akron. He gave up five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six shutout innings. Matt Rusch blew the save, but earned the win and he gave up just a solo homer in two innings of relief.
Ryan Roberson belted a two run homer in the win. Louis Ott went two for three with a double.
Lucas French improved to 5-7 with a nice outing as the SeaWolves took care of Harrisburg 2-1. French gave up just one run on seven hits and three walks with one strikeout in eight innings.
Wilkin Ramirez was the hitting star in the win. He tripled, drew a walk and drove in a run.
The SeaWolves took care of Harrisburg 6-3 and most of the excitement came in the final three innings. The game was tied 1-1 through six and then Erie rattled off five runs combined in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings. Ryan Roberson hit a pinch hit two run homer and Kody Kirkland went yard in the contest.
Lucas French threw a solid game but he didn’t get the decision. He gave up three runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. Juan Cedeno threw one shutout inning and he improved to 2-1.
Lucas French fell to 3-5 on the season with a tough start in the SeaWolves 8-6 loss to Altoona. He gave up eight runs on twelve hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.
Danny Worth went two for five with a solo homer. Jeff Frazier went three for five with a run.
Lucas French fell to 2-4 on the season with a rough start in Erie’s 10-5 loss to Bowie. He gave up six runs on seven hits and one walk with four strikeouts in seven innings.
Justin Justice went two for three with a double, a homerun and two RBIs. Ryan Roberson singled and drove in two.
The SeaWolves split their pair of games today with Altoona. Game one was a 4-3, extra inning loss that saw Casey Fien give up a walk off solo homer in the bottom of the eighth inning. Benjamin Fritz didn’t get the decision and he gave up three runs (one earned) on eleven hits and one walk with four strikeouts in six innings. Maxim St. Pierre and Jeff Frazier both had two singles and each drove in a run.
Game two was a 9-2 beatdown. Dusty Ryan went two for four with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Diek Scram went three for five with a double, two RBIs and a run. Lucas French improved to 2-2 and he gave up two runs on five hits and four walks with four strikeouts in the seven inning complete game.
Lucas French improved to 1-2 on the season with a nearly flawless start in Erie’s 7-0 win over Harrisburg. He gave up just three hits with three strikeouts in eight shutout innings.
Daniel Worth had a huge day at the plate in the win. He went five for five with a double, a triple, two RBIs and a run. Freddy Guzman singled, drew a walk, stole his ninth base and scored twice.
Jeff Frazier doubled and belted a solo homer as he was pretty much the SeaWolves offense in their 6-1 loss to Altoona. Nick McIntyre also had a nice game and he went two for three with a double.
Lucas French took the loss and he fell to 0-2. He gave up five runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Lakeland got back to losing as they were held to five hits in a 3-1 loss to Dunedin. Ovandy Suero doubled and he scored the only run of the game for the Tigers.
Lucas French fell to 5-13 with the loss. He gave up two runs on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts in six innings.
Lakeland can’t buy a win these games and in this one their offense completely disappeared. Four singles were all the hitters could manage and not one person could draw a walk.

Lakeland hasn’t won in over a week now as the lost to Fort Myers 9-4. Lucas French was shelled and he gave up six runs (five earned) on twelve hits and one walk with three strikeouts in six innings of work. The loss dropped him to 5-11.
Maxwell Leon was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for five with a double and two RBIs.
Lakeland couldn’t get much going at the plate in their 5-1, rain shortened loss to Vero Beach. Mark Haske drove in the only run for Lakeland and Deik Scram reached base three times with a single and two walks.

Rafael Mendez was the only batter with two hits. He went two for four with a double.
