Rudy Lugo and Casey Fien combined for a solid outing as the Hens took care of Lehigh Valley 5-3 in the first of two. Lugo gave up three runs (just one earned) on three hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Fien threw 1 2/3 innings of shutout relief and he improved to 1-0. Will Rhymes doubled, drove in two and scored once while Scott Sizemore went two for four with a double and a two run home run.
Lauren Gagnier threw five shutout innings and he improved to 2-2 in the second game. Dan Schlereth and Jay Sborz then threw shutout innings each to finish up game. Sborz picked up his eleventh save of the season. Danny Worth singled, scored a run and drove in one. Ben Guez hit a solo home run, his second of the season.
Lauren Gagnier improved to 2-0 with a really nice start in the SeaWolves 7-2 win over Bowie. He gave up just two runs on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings. Brendan Wise also had a nice outing and he struck out one in 1 1/3 innings of shutout relief.
Andy Dirks went two for four with two runs and an RBI. Cale Iorg doubled and scored two runs.
Erie blew a 3-0 lead in the eighth and ninth, scored a run in the tenth and then gave this one up as Brett Jensen gave up two runs in tenth in the SeaWolves 5-4 loss. Jensen took the loss and he fell to 5-5 and a solid start by Lauren Gagnier went to waste. He gave up a run on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in seven innings.
Brennan Boesch went two for five with a double, a home run and two RBIs. Michael Bertram went yard with a solo shot.
Santo De Leon was the hitting star in the SeaWolves 4-3 win over the Curve. He went two for three with a double and a solo home run. Andy Dirks pitched in with a solo shot of his own.
Lauren Gagnier made his Erie debut and he pitched a solid game. He improved to 1-0 and he gave up two runs on five hits and one walk with seven strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings. Brendan Wise gave up a run in 2 2/3 innings and that was good for his second save of the season.
Lauren Gagnier fell to 9-10 on the season with a rough start in Lakeland’s 6-4 loss to Daytona. He gave up four runs (three earned) on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings of work.
Devin Thomas went two for four with two doubles, a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Jeramy Laster doubled twice and he drove in a run.
Lakeland had a tough time getting much going at the plate as they were held to a run on seven hits in a 4-1 loss to Clearwater. Audy Ciriaco went two for four and Jordan Newton matched him with a pair of singles. Joseph Tucker singled, drew a walk and he scored the lone run for the Flying Tigers.
Lauren Gagnier took the loss and he fell to 9-9. He gave up four runs on seven hits and a walk with six strikeouts in seven innings.
Lauren Gagnier had a solid start go to waste as the Flying Tigers fell to Tampa in a 2-1 loss. He fell to 8-8 and he gave up two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks with five strikeouts in seven innings.
Justin Henry went two for three. Maxwell Leon tripled and he scored the lone run for Lakeland.
Lakeland had a tough time getting anything going at the plate tonight as they lost to the Mets 5-1. Adrian Casanova accounted for half of those hits with a pair of singles and he drove in the lone run for Lakeland.
Lauren Gagnier took the loss and he fell to 8-7. He gave up five runs on eight hits and one walk with four strikeouts in five innings.
The bullpen made up for a rough start by Lauren Gagnier in the Flying Tigers 8-6 win over Jupiter. Chad Linder was the star on the mound and he gave up just three hits in three scoreless innings to improve to 3-1. Scott Green pitched a shutout ninth and he picked up his eleventh save of the season.
Chris Carlson went two for four with a double, a walk, two RBIs and a run. Michael Bertram went two for five with a double, two runs and an RBI.
Joseph Tucker was one of the hitting stars in the Flying Tigers 11-8 win over Dunedin. He went two for four with a double, a triple, three RBIs and a run. Audy Ciriaco went two for four with a home run, two runs and two RBIs.
Lauren Gagnier picked up the win despite not having his best outing. He gave up four runs on three hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. Two of those hits left the park.
Lakeland and Brevard County played two and Lakeland walked away with a win in both. Game one was a 4-0 shutout that saw Lauren Gagnier hold the opposition scoreless through six innings. He gave up six hits and a walk with four strikeouts. Adrian Casanova went one for three with two RBIs while Devin Thomas went one for two with a walk and a run.
Game two was closer but once again, it was the pitching that shined in a 2-1 win. Charles Furbush threw five shutout innings in a no-decision while Chad Linder threw a shutout frame to pick up the win to improved to 2-1. Scott Green pitched a shutout ninth and he picked up his ninth save of the season. Maiko Loyola doubled twice and drove in a run while Michael Bertram singled twice.
Lauren Gagnier improved to 5-4 on the season with a nice start in Lakeland’s 7-2 win over Charlotte. He gave up two runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings.

The Flying Tigers lost to the Cardinals 2-1 and it was a tepid day at the plate for Lakeland. Jeramy Laster doubled and he scored the lone run while Michael Bertram went two for four.

Robbie Weinhardt gave up a pair of runs in the top of the tenth inning as Lakeland lost to Dunedin 6-4. This was after a mediocre start by Lauren Gagnier. He gave up four runs on five hits and a walk with six strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.
Andy Dirks went three for three with a double, a walk and two RBIs. Kody Kaiser went two for four with a home run, a walk and two runs.
The Flying Tigers put together a nice win today as they bested Daytona 4-2. Lauren Gagnier picked up the win and he improved to 1-0. He gave up two runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Scott Green pitched a shutout ninth and he picked up his second save of the season.
Chris Carlson belted a two run homer in the fourth inning that broke a 2-2 tie. Michael Bertram doubled and drove in two.
A fantastic start by Lauren Gagnier went to waste in the Flying Tigers 3-2 loss to Dunedin. He gave up three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in seven shutout innings. Ryan Perry gave up an unearned run in the ninth inning and he took the loss to fall to 1-2.
Jeff Kunkel provided the bulk of Lakeland’s offense. He went two for three and he drove in both Lakeland runs.
The White Caps couldn’t get it done at the plate as they were held to a single run on six hits in their 7-1 loss to Kane County. All six hits were singles and Joseph Tucker had three of them. Audy Ciriaco singled and he drove in the lone run.
Lauren Gagnier was roughed up and he fell to 1-6. He gave up six runs on six hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings.
The Seawolves and B-Mets exchanged shutouts today and while Erie was outscored 11-1 combined over the two games, they actually walked away with a win. Game one was a brutal 11-0 shutout. Lauren Gagnier was tagged for nine runs in 2 2/3 innings and he fell to 1-2. His ERA now sits at 17.36 in his three starts for Erie. Danny Worth and Louis Ott both had a pair of singles.
Game two was a 1-0 shutout win and it was Daniel Christensen who threw 6 1/3 innings of shutout ball. Casey Fien got the final two outs and he improved to 2-3 with the win while Casper Wells singled and scored the lone run for either side.
Lauren Gagnier had his best start since joining the Hens and he improved to 1-1 in Toledo’s 4-1 win over the Chiefs. He gave up one run on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings. Joel Zumaya and Francisco Cruceta both threw shutout innings and Blaine Neal threw a perfect ninth for his 18th save of the season.
Erick Almonte homered, doubled and drove in three runs. Mike Hessman didn’t see much to hit and he walks three times and scored a run.
Lauren Gagnier fell to 1-5 on the season in the White Caps 7-3 loss to South Bend. He gave up four runs (two earned) on three hits and four walks with five strikeouts in six innings.
Casper Wells doubled and belted a solo homer. Ron Bourquin singled, drew a walk and scored a run.
