Two errors resulted in five unearned runs that played a big part in Lakeland’s 8-3 loss to Tampa. Lucas French took the loss and he gave up seven runs (just two earned) on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.
Cameron Maybin was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for four and he scored one of the three runs.
Burke Badenhop gave up two runs on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in seven innings in his start for Lakeland. The win improved his record to 5-3 after the 9-2 win.
Ovandy Suero had another nice game at the plate. He went three for three with two RBIs and two runs.
Lakeland lost to Tampa 8-3 but Cameron Maybin had a big day at the plate. He went two for five with two solo homers in the loss. The only other Flying Tiger to drive in a run was Mark Haske, who punched one in with a sac. fly.
Matt O’Brien was hit hard and he took the loss. He gave up seven runs on eight hits and four walks in 3 2/3 innings.
Lakeland lost 3-2 and the three runs they gave up all came in the ninth inning off of Freddy Dolsi. Because of those runs, a nice start by Eleazar Aponte was wasted. He gave up six hits and three walks with five strikeouts in six shutout innings.
Ovandy Suero was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for four with a run, an RBI and he stole his 39th base of the season.
The Flying Tigers lost 9-6 to Palm Beach and the pen gave up six of the nine runs. Jacob Ramos gave up three runs and he took the loss and then Derek Witt gave up three more to seal the deal.
Wilkin Ramirez went three for four with a triple, two RBIs and a run. Ovandy Suero walked twice, scored two runs and he stole his 38th base of the season.
Lucas French improved to 4-2 on the season in Lakeland’s 5-0 win over Palm Beach. He gave up six hits and one walk with five strikeouts in eight shutout innings.
Maxwell Leon went three for four and he scored two runs. Adrian Casanova went two for three with a triple, two RBIs and a run.
Lakeland doubled up Palm Beach 8-4 and it was Ovandy Suero who got it done at the plate. He went three for five with three RBIs and a run. He also stole yet another base and his league leading season total is now up to 35. If there’s a knock, it’s he’s been caught seven times but you still have to like that percentage since it’s well over the 75% mark that makes the stolen base worth it.

Lakeland scored two runs in the seventh inning to take the lead and then they scored one run in the eighth to pad the lead. Maxwell Leon went two for four with a double and two runs. Ryan Roberson hit a solo homerun in the win.

Lakeland beat Vero Beach 4-3 and Ryan Roberson had a hand in three of those runs. He went two for four with a double, a homerun and three RBIs. William Rhymes went three for four with a double and a run.
Kyle Denney picked up the win with six solid innings. He gave up three runs on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts in six innings of work.
Eleazar Aponte was hammered by Vero Beach in Lakeland’s 15-4 loss. He gave up ten runs (eight earned) on ten hits and a walk with one strikeout in just 2 1/3 innings.
Ryan Roberson provided most of the offense in the loss with three hits including a homerun and two RBIs. Cameron Maybin went two for five with a run.
Lakeland lost 6-2 to Vero Beach and Lucas French dropped to 3-2 on the season with a rough start. He gave up six runs on nine hits and two walks with two strikeouts in five innings.

Lakeland edged Dunedin 4-3 in ten innings to win their fifth straight game. Matt O’Brien was decent in his start and he gave up just one run in 4 2/3 innings while Freddy Dolsi picked up the win with a shutout tenth.

Lakeland had plenty of hitting stars in their 7-4 win over Dunedin. William Rhymes doubled, drove in three and scored a run while Michael Hernandez went three for four with two doubles, two RBIs and a run. Ryan Roberson had the only homerun and he drove in two runs while Cameron Maybin went two for four with a run scored.
Kyle Denney picked up the win. He gave up three runs on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings of work.

Michael Hernandez went three for five with a homerun and two runs while Wilkin Ramirez was a perfect three for three with a run and three RBIs. Cameron Maybin had a nice game as well. He went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI.
Jacob Ramos picked up the win with two innings of relief. He did give up a run but he was in the right place at the right time. Freddy Dolsi picked up his sixth save of the season with a shutout ninth.
Lucas French improved to 3-1 on the season in Lakeland’s 2-1 win with six shutout innings. He gave up five hits and a walk and he struck out five.
