Erik Crichton not only gave up the tying run in the bottom of the ninth to put the game into extra frames, but he also gave up the losing run in the eleventh and he fell to 3-3.  It’s too bad because Brayan Villarreal had a really nice start.  He gave up two hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in five innings.

Brandon Douglas went two for five with a double and a run.  Fransisco Martinez went two for four with a walk and a run.

Lakeland couldn’t push a single runner across the plate as they lost to Fort Myers 2-0.  Josh Workman was a perfect two for two and Daniel Fields singled and drew a walk.

A really nice start by Luke Putkonen went to waste.  He gave up two runs on five hits and a walk with one strikeout in seven innings.

Billy Nowlin, Brent Wyatt and Rawley Bishop all went yard in the Flying Tigers 8-3 win over Bradenton.  Bishop’s was a two run shot while Bishop went two for three with a pair of walks.

Luke Putkonen improved to 6-2 with a nice start.  He gave up two runs (just one earned) on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
