Luis Gil gave up four of the six runs that Tri-City scored in the top of the tenth inning as Oneonta lost 7-2. Gil was hammered for three hits and fellow reliever Jose Fragoso was also responsible for some of the damage with the other two runs.
Christopher White had an impressive game. He went three for five with two doubles and two runs.
Oneonta’s pen gave up five runs in the ninth inning as they blew a three run lead in the 5-3 loss. Jose Fragoso was credited with the final two runs and he took the loss. Oddly, he struck out the side in an inning where he was also knocked around for three hits and a walk.
Jorge Patino was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for three with an RBI and a run.
Oneonta kept their first place lead with a doubleheader split with Vermont. In game one, Jose Fragoso and the bullpen was hit hard in a 7-3 loss. He fell to 2-3 and he gave up two runs on three hits and two walks with two strikeouts in two innings. Christopher Carlson was the hitting star and he went two for three with a double and a run.
The Tigers picked it up in the second and won 4-1. Guillermo Moscoso improved to 7-2 with yet another nice start. He gave up one run on six hits with six strikeouts in seven innings. Carlson followed things up in this second game with a double, a run and an RBI.
Oneonta got just enough runs to take care of Staten Island in a 5-3 win. Casper Wells pitched in with a two run homer and Christopher Carlson doubled, drove in a run and scored.
Jose Fragoso improved to 2-2 on the season with the win. He gave up one hit and he struck out two in two shutout innings of relief.
Jose Fragoso gave up two runs in the bottom of the ninth and he blew a one run Tiger lead in Oneonta’s 8-7 loss to Hudson Valley. The loss drops him to 1-2 on the season.
Ron Bourquin went three for five with two RBIS and two runs. Devin Thomas went three for five with an RBI and two runs while Christopher Carlson went four for four with a double and an RBI.
Oneonta lost 5-3 but Kody Kaiser continued to rake the ball after two games without a hit. He went three for four with a double and two runs. Ron Bourquin went three for five with an RBI.
Jose Fragoso took the loss. He gave up a run on two hits with two strikeouts in two innings.
Kody Kaiser if off to an awesome start so far this year. In Oneonta’s 3-1 win over Tri-City, he kept up his hot hitting and he went two for four with two doubles, a run and an RBI. He now has a hit in all four of his games and he’s driven in runs in three of the four.
Jose Fragaso picked up the win with four solid innings of relief. He gave up one run on two hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
Jose Fragoso gave up a solo homerun in the bottom of the eleventh as the White Caps lost to the Dragons 3-2. A pretty good start by Eleazar Aponte went to waste in the loss. He gave up two runs on seven hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in six innings.
Brennan Boesch was the hitting star in the loss. He reached base four times with a single and three walks and he scored on of the White Caps two runs.
Christopher Cody had a decent start go to waste in the White Caps 6-2 loss to Lansing. He gave up three runs on six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in seven innings of work. Reliever Jose Fragoso was hit hard in the later innings and he gave up three runs in the final three frames.
Gorkys Hernandez went two for five with a double and a run. He’s now hitting .317 on the season. Jeramy Laster went two for three with a double and a run.
