Erie outhit Akron 11-6 but they stranded eleven base runners in a 4-3 loss. Brennan Boesch went three for five with a double and he scored two runs while Michael Bertram went three for five with a home run and two RBIs.
Jonah Nickerson gave up three runs in six innings in his start. Alfredo Figaro gave up an unearned run that proved to be the game winner and he fell to 6-3.
Erie had a 7-4 lead in the top of the sixth but the Jonah Nickerson and Nolan Cain struggled in the final innings in an 8-7 loss to Harrisburg. Nickerson gave up seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Nolan Cain gave up one run in 2 2/3 innings and he fell to 0-1 on the season.
Casper Wells went three for four with a solo home run, a walk and three runs. Deik Scram went two for five with a double and an RBI.
Jonah Nickerson improved to 8-8 on the season with a really nice start in the SeaWolves 7-2 win over New Britain. He gave up two runs on eight hits without a walk or a strikeout in the complete game win.
Michael Bertram had a bid day and he went two for three with a walk, a home run and four RBIs. Casper Wells went two for three with a walk, a run and an RBI.
Erie racked up nine hits in this one but they managed just a pair of runs in a 4-2 loss to the B-Mets. Brennan Boesch went two for four while Santo De Leon belted a solo home run in the loss.
Jonah Nickerson fell to 7-7 with a rough start. He gave up four runs on nine hits and two walks (oddly with no strikeouts) in seven innings.
Jonah Nickerson improved to 7-6 on the season with a nice start in the SeaWolves 3-2 win over Akron. He gave up two runs on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings. Brett Jensen got the final five outs with giving up a hit and he struck out two to pick up his tenth save of the season.
Cale Iorg went two for three with a double, a walk, a run and an RBI. Ron Bourquin went two for four with a double and a run.
Talk about a beatdown. Just about everyone was a hitting star in this game as the SeaWolves dismantled the Curve 19-2. Al Avila went three for six with a double, a home run, four RBIs and three runs. Danny Worth also had a nice game and he went three for three with two walks, four RBIs and two runs.

Jonah Nickerson fell to 4-6 on the season with a rough start in Erie’s 10-5 loss to Harrisburg. He gave up seven runs on ten hits and a walk with four strikeouts in six innings. Reliever Ramon Garcia also had a tough time and he gave up three runs in two innings of relief.
Brennan Boesch was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for three with a home run, two RBIs and two runs. Ron Bourquin tripled and he drove in one.
There wasn’t much offense for the SeaWolves today as they were shut out on just three hits in a 5-0 loss to Portland. Casper Wells doubled and Deik Scram tripled to lead the way but that was about it in a punchless performance by the offense.

Maxwell Leon led the way at the plate and he went three for four with a double and a run. Ryan Strieby went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI.
Deik Scram and Alex Avila both hit big homeruns as Erie took care of Bowie 6-5. Scram belted a three run shot in the second inning to put Erie on the board and then Avila hit a two run shot in the fourth. Ryan Strieby went one for two with a walk and two runs in the win.
Jonah Nickerson picked up the win and he improved to 1-2 on the season. He gave up three runs on eight hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings. Brett Jensen gave up a run in the ninth but he held on to pick up his fourth save of the season.
The SeaWolves lost to the Curve today and it was Jonah Nickerson who was knocked around. He fell to 0-2 and he gave up four runs on eight hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. Josh Rainwater also had a tough time and he gave up two runs in 1 1/3 innings.
Jeff Frazier went three for four with a double in the 6-4 loss. Maxwell Leon went two for four with a double and an RBI.
Jonah Nickerson improved to 12-4 on the season with a nice start in the Flying Tigers 7-1 win over Clearwater. He gave up one run on six hits and one walk with two strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. Robbie Weinhardt picked up his fourth save with 2 1/3 innings of shutout relief to close out the game.
Brandon Timm went two for four with three RBIs. Louis Ott went three for five with a double, two runs and two RBIs.
Ryan Strieby had just one hit in the Flying Tigers 11-5 win over Vero Beach but that was a two run blast. Combine that with two sac. flies and he finished the game with a team high four RBIs. Brandon Timm also had a big day and he went three for five with a triple, three RBIs and two runs.
Jonah Nickerson improved to 8-3 with the win. He gave up five runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six innings. Zach Simons threw three shutout innings to close out the game and he picked up his second save of the season.
Lakeland took care of the Reds 5-2 behind a nice outing by Jonah Nickerson. He improved to 6-3 and he gave up just four hits and a walk with six strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Brennan Boesch had a single, a triple and two RBIs in the win. Gary Sheffield went one for two with a homerun, two walks and two runs.
Lakeland lost Tampa 5-4 despite coming back from three runs to tie the game. Unfortunately, Nicholas Martin gave up a run in the ninth inning and that cost Lakeland the win. Jonah Nickerson had a mediocre start and he gave up four runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.

Lakeland had a tough time at the plate as they lost a close one to Tampa 3-1. Cale Iorg went two for four with the lone run and Ryan Strieby went two for two with a walk and an RBI.

Brandon Timm had a nice day at the plate as the Flying Tigers doubled up Vero Beach 8-4. He went three for four with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Santo De Leon doubled twice and drove in three.
