The Mud Hens won two in one day as they pulled of a sweep over the Clippers. Game one saw Erick Almonte go two for three with a double, three RBIs and two runs in a 5-4 win. Andres Torres went four for four with a double, two triples and two runs. Anastacio Martinez gave up a hit with two walks and a strikeout in 1 2/3 innings of shutout relief.
Game two was a 6-4 Mud Hens win. Jason Perry belted a two run homer while Henry Mateo went two for three with a walk and two runs. Vic Darensbourg improved to 6-2 and he gave up one hit with four strikeouts in two innings of shutout relief.
Aquilino Lopez gave up two runs in the top of the eleventh inning as the Toledo lost to Louisville 4-2 in eleven innings. It’s too bad because a pretty good start went to waste. He gave up two runs (one earned) on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts in seven solid frames.
Mike Hessman drove in a pair of runs to bring his International League total to 100 on the season. Jason Perry doubled and scored a run.
Virgil Vasquez improved to 12-5 on the season with a nice start in the Hens 4-1 win over Indianapolis. He gave up one run on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Andrew Graham went two for four with an RBI and two runs. Jason Perry went two for four with a double and he scored twice.
Yorman Bazardo fell to 10-6 on the season with a tough start in the Hens 7-2 loss to Indianapolis. He gave up seven runs on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts in six innings of work.
Jason Perry hit his first homerun since joining the Hens. Omar Infante went two for four with a double and a run in the loss.
