Erie managed just three hits in their 5-1 loss to Akron last night. Jeff Kunkel provided the SeaWolves lone run with a solo shot in the third inning.
A solid start by Jared Gayhart went to waste. He gave up two runs on five hits and four walks with a strikeout in 5 2/3 innings and the loss dropped him to 1-1 for the SeaWolves.
Three relievers combined to give up seven runs in four innings as the SeaWolves lost to Reading 8-5. Jason Waddell gave up the bulk of the runs when he gave up four runs on three hits with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings. The loss dropped him to 0-2 on the season. Jared Gayhart had a solid start and he gave up one run on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings.
Michael Bertram went three for four and he came a single short of hitting for the cycle. He drove in three and scored three while Casper Wells went three for four with two doubles and he drove in a pair.
Jared Gayhart made his first start of the season and he improved to 1-0 with a solid start in the SeaWolves 2-0 win over Trenton. He gave up just one hit and a walk with six strikeouts in five shutout innings. Brett Jensen threw a shutout ninth for his twelth save of the season while Cody Satterwhite pitched three shutout innings of relief.
Blade Runner movie download Brennan Boesch went one for two with two walks and an RBI. Danny Worth went one for two with a run.
Andrew Hess had one of his best starts of the season in Lakeland’s 9-0 blowout win over Sarasota. He gave up just six hits and two walks with four strikeouts in seven shutout innings and the win pushed his record to 3-5. Jared Gayhart made his Lakeland debut and he threw two shutout frames to close out the game.
Audy Ciriaco had a huge day at the plate. He went three for five with a double, a home run and four RBIs. Devin Thomas went two for four with a walk, an RBI and two runs.
Jared Gayhart gave up a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth and that proved to be the difference in the Whitecaps 5-4 loss to the Dragons. It was Gayhart’s third inning of relief and he fell to 5-3. Brandon Hamilton had another mediocre start and he gave up four runs on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts in six innings. With his rough first couple of months, you wonder if Hamilton is destined for Oneonta when the short season teams start up.
Joseph Bowen went two for four with two RBIs. Mike Gosse went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI.
The Whitecaps had two fewer hits then their opposition but it was still go enough to walk away with a 5-2 win over Fort Wayne. Luis Salas singled and drove in two runs while Brent Wyatt doubled and drove in one.
Jared Gayhart picked up the win and he improved to 5-2 with two innings of shutout relief. Tyler Stohr pitched a shutout ninth and he picked up his twelth save of the season.
The White Caps lost to Kane County 6-4 and the bummer on this game was that they scored the first four runs. Unfortunately, the Caps pen was roughed up to the tune of four runs after six solid innings by Luke Putkonen. Three of those runs were given up by Jared Gayhart and he took the loss to drop to 2-2.
Gustavo Nunez doubled and he drove in two runs. Billy Nowlin doubled and he scored a run.
This looks like it would have been a fun game to catch. The White Caps were pummelled in the first four innings and for at least a half inning, they were down 8-0. Then they slowly began to chip away at the lead until they stormed back and scored three in the ninth on a Ben Guez three homer to tie it. Then in the bottom of the thirteenth, Luis Palacios scored on Brandon Douglas’ sac. fly to win it.
Guez finished two for seven but he had the big hit in the ninth. Ron Bourquin went three for six with an RBI in the 9-8 win.
Brandon Hamilton took the brunt of Clinton’s offense and he gave up six runs in 1 2/3 innings. Jared Gayhart gave up just two hits and a walk in four innings of shutout relief while Tyler Stohr struck out four and gave up just one hit in three shutout innings to improve to 2-1 on the season.
The White Caps got some nice pitching from three different guys to pick up a 2-1 win over Cedar Rapids. Brayan Villerreal pitched four shutout innings in his start, then Anthony Shawler gave up one run in 3 2/3 to pick up the win. Jared Gayhart struck out two in 1 1/3 innings to then close out the game to pick up his first save of the season.
Chao-Ting Tang was the hitting star in the win. He went two for four with a triple, an RBI and a run. Billy Nowlin singled twice and he scored once.
Jared Gayhart gave up a run in the bottom of the ninth that cost the White Caps in a 4-3 loss to Lansing. This came after a mediocre start by Brandon Hamilton, who gave up three runs on five hits with three strikeouts in six innings.
Jordan Newton went two for four with a homerun and two runs in the 4-3 loss. Ron Bourquin doubled and he drove in a pair of runs.
Billy Nowlin’s sac. fly in the top of the tenth inning proved to be the game winner in the White Caps 4-3 win over Lansing. It capped of a three for three with three RBI night for the designated hitter. Ron Borquin also had a nice game and he went three for five with a run.
Luke Putkonen pitched six shutout innings to start things off for West Michigan. He gave up just two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. Jared Gayhart held the Lugnuts scoreless in the ninth and tenth and he struck out four to improve to 1-0 on the season.
Jared Gayhart gave up three runs in the seventh inning and a one run lead turned into a two run loss in the blink of an eye. It’s too bad because a solid start by Trevor Feeney went to waste. He gave up two unearned runs on two hits and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings.
Brent Wyatt went two for four with a run. Wade Lamont doubled and scored a run in the 5-3 loss.
