The White Caps failed to sweep their third straight playoff series of the season as Beloit took it to Matt O’Brien in an 8-5 loss. He gave up seven of the eight runs on ten hits with one strikeout in just 1 2/3 innings. Lauren Gagnier was impressive in relief though. He gave up just one run in 5 2/3 innings but he struck out nine.
Jeramy Laster doubled and drove in four runs. Gorkys Hernandez pitched in with two singles and an RBI.
The White Caps moved on to the Midwest League finals with some solid pitching from Matt O’Brien and a nice team effort at the plate. O’Brien gave up just two runs (one earned) on seven hits in five solid frames in the 6-3 win.
All six runs were driven in by different White Caps and only Jeramy Laster had more then one hit. It got the job done though. Gorkys Hernandez singled and he was the only hitter to both drive in and score a run.
The White Caps made it three straight wins with a pair of wins in a doubleheader with Fort Wayne. Jordan Newton went four for four with a double and three RBIs. Gorkys Hernandez went two for four with two RBIs and a run. Phil Napolitan got two outs in the seventh and he picked up his third win of the season.
Kelvin Cedano improved to 2-2 in the second game. He gave up one run on four hits with three strikeouts in three innings of relief. Hernandez had another nice game and he went two for three with a triple and two runs in the 4-1 win.
The White Caps rallied for three runs in the ninth inning to beat the Dragons 5-4. The game winner came when Ryan Strieby was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. This was after Brennan Boesch singled home a run to tie the game up. Gorky Hernandez got it done at the plate otherwise. He went three for three with two walks, a double, an RBI and two runs.
Brett Jensen improved to 4-1 on the season. He gave up one hit and a walk with one strikeout in a shutout ninth inning.
Gorkys Hernandez drove home Audy Ciriaco in the bottom of the ninth inning to win it for the White Caps. Earlier in the inning, Ciriaco singled home the tying run in the 5-4 win. Joseph Tucker doubled twice and drove in two runs while Santo De Leon went two for two with a double, two walks and two runs.
Phil Napolitan picked up the win with two innings of shutout relief. He gave up a hit and he struck out four.
Duane Below improved to 11-5 on the season with a very nice start in the White Caps 11-2 win over South Bend. He gave up just a single hit and four walks with seven strikeouts in six shutout innings.
Gorkys Hernandez, Jeramy Laster and Scott Sizemore had huge days at the plate. Hernandez went four for five and he was a homerun short of the cycle. He scored three runs. Laster went four for four with a homerun, three RBIs and three runs and Sizemore went four for five with a double, two RBIs and two runs.
The White Caps blew a 5-1 lead as their relievers gave up ten runs in the final two innings of a 11-5 loss. Dan Fyvie took the loss and he fell to 0-2. He gave up five runs on five hits and one walk in 2/3 of an inning. This was after a solid start by Duane Below, who gave up one run on five hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings of work.
Ryan Strieby went one for three with a double and two runs in the loss. Gorkys Hernandez went two for four with a triple and a run.
Jonah Nickerson improved to 10-6 on the season with a nice start in the White Caps 7-1 win over Peoria. He gave up just three hits and a walk with four strikeouts in seven innings of work.
James Skelton went three for four with two RBIs and a run. Gorkys Hernandez went two for four with a double and two runs.

The White Caps came back from a 3-0 deficit and scored three runs in the ninth to tie it, but then Phil Napolitan gave up two runs in the top of the twelth to lose it for the team. The loss dropped his record to 0-2 on the season.
Scott Sizemore went three for six with a triple and two RBIs. Gorkys Hernandez went two for five with a triple and a run.
Santo De Leon had a fantastic game in the White Caps 10-2 blowout win over Fort Wayne. He went three for four and he drove in a team high four runs. Gorkys Hernandez also continued his nice season with two hits, two runs andtwo RBIs.
Duane Below improved to 8-3 on the season with six shutout innings. He gave up three hits and two walks with four strikeouts.
Jonah Nickerson improved to 6-6 on the season with seven shutout innings in the White Caps 6-1 win over Fort Wayne. He gave up just three hits and he struck out five in the impressive start.

The White Caps edged Fort Wayne 5-4 and Gorkys Hernandez was the primary run producer. He went two for four with a triple, a homerun and four RBIs. Scott Sizemore also had a nice game and he went two for four with a double and two runs.

Dan Fyvie gave up a run in the tenth inning as the White Caps lost to South Bend 4-3. Duane Below had a mixed start in the loss. He did give up two runs on six hits and two walks in just 4 2/3 innings, but he struck out ten batters in an impressive display.
Gorkys Hernandez singled, drew a walk, scored a run and drove in one. Jeramy Laster was the only other White Cap to reach base twice with a single and a walk.

Angel Castro fell to 6-4 on the season with a pretty rough start in the White Caps 9-7 loss to the Loons. He gave up seven runs on nine hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five innings.

This game was picked up in the second inning and Jeffrey Gerbe continued what Christpher Cody started yesterday. He gave up just two runs (one earned) on two hits and one walk with three strikeouts in seven solid innings.
Deik Scram went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI. Gorkys Hernandez went two for four with two doubles and an RBI.
Gorkys Hernandez played a role in all three White Caps runs in their 3-2 win over the Lugnuts. He went one for four with two RBIs and a run. Jeffrey Kunkel was the only White Cap with two hits.
Randor Bierd (cool name) picked up the win with three perfect innings of relief. He improved to 1-1 on the season and he struck out four.
Christopher Cody had a decent start go to waste in the White Caps 6-2 loss to Lansing. He gave up three runs on six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in seven innings of work. Reliever Jose Fragoso was hit hard in the later innings and he gave up three runs in the final three frames.
Gorkys Hernandez went two for five with a double and a run. He’s now hitting .317 on the season. Jeramy Laster went two for three with a double and a run.
