The GCL Tigers lost 6-3 to the GCL Braves in a seven inning rain shortened game and it was Santo Mieses who took the loss. He fell to 1-3 and he gave up three unearned runs on one hit and a walk with two strikeouts in 1 2/3 inning of relief.
The Tigers got all three of their runs on one swing of the bat. Carlos Ramirez belted a big three run homer in the sixth inning in the loss.
Cameron Maybin has been back for just two games but he’s already shown he’s healthy with his second straight solid game. He went two for four with an RBI and a run. Joseph Bowen doubled and he drove in two runs.
Brandon Johnson picked up the win and he improved to 3-3 on the season in the 5-2 win. He gave up one run on five hits with four strikeouts in five innings of work.
Three different pitchers gave up at least a pair of runs each as the GCL Yankees took care of the GCL Tigers 7-3. Jonathan Kibler took the loss when he gave up the first two runs and he fell to 1-1 on the season.
Cameron Maybin reached base twice in his rehab start. He singled twice and drew two walks in his first game back from a shoulder injury.
The GCL Tigers managed just two runs in a 3-2 loss to the GCL Yankees. Joaquin Guzman drove in both runs with a single and a double. Marc McBratney singled twice, drew a walk and scored two runs.
Aaron Fuhrman picked up the win and he dropped to 1-3 on the season. He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
The GCL Tigers got plenty of offense in their 9-8 win over the GCL Phillies but it was Roger Tomas who had a particularly good game. He went two for four with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Joaquin Guzman went two for three with a double, two RBIs and a run.
Jonathan Kibler picked up the win and he improved to 1-0 on the season. He gave up a single hit in one shutout inning of relief.
The GCL Tigers scored just a single run on five hits in their 4-1 loss to the GCL Blue Jays and even the lone run didn’t come until the bottom of the ninth inning. Luis Arlet belted a solo homerun for that lone run and the long ball was his fifth of the season.
Brandon Johnson fell to 2-3 on the season with the loss. He gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in six innings pitched.
The GCL Tigers were blown out by the GCL Blue Jays 11-8 and it was Santo Mieses who took the loss. He gave up six runs on six hits with six strikeouts in four innings of relief and the loss dropped him to 1-2 on the season.
Joaquin Guzman went two for five with a triple, three RBIs and a run. Christopher White doubled twice and scored two runs in the loss.
Hayden Parrott belted a big two run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to win it for the GCL Tigers. The final was 4-3 and Parrott finished the game with three RBIs.
Santo Mieses picked up the win and he improved to 1-1 on the season. He didn’t give up a single base runner in 1 1/3 innings.
The GCL Tigers had a tough time at the plate in their 5-1 loss to the GCL Indians. Marc McBratney was the only hitter to reach base three times with two singles and a walk while Christopher White singled and drove in the only run.
Emmanuel Miguelez took the loss and he fell to 0-2 on the season. He gave up three runs on five hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in five innings of work.
The GCL Tigers took care of the GCL Indians in an 8-2 win and designated hitter Craig Maddox played a part in half of those eight Tiger runs. He went two for four with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Wade Lamont singled, drew two walks and scored three times.
Justin Miller picked up the win and he improved to 1-1 on the season. He gave up two walks with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 shutout innings.
Charles Furbush improved to 2-0 on the season with a nice start in the GCL Tigers 6-2 win over the GCL Yankees. He gave up two runs on six hits and he struck out six in six innings of work.
Hayden Parrott went two for five with a run and an RBI. Christopher White went one for three with three walks, a run and an RBI.
The GCL Tigers were basically shut down in their 5-0 loss to the GCL Yankees. The hitters managed just three singles and a pair of walks in the loss and Joseph Bowen was the only Tiger to reach base twice with a single and a walk.
Chris Homer took the loss and he fell to 0-2 on the season. He gave up three runs in just 1/3 of an inning after Aaron Fuhrman threw seven shutout innings in the loss.
Joseph Bowen was one of the hitting stars in the GCL Tigers 5-3 win over the GCL Phillies. He went two for three with a walk, an RBI and two runs. Christopher White went two for five with two RBIs and a run.
Wilton Garcia picked up the win with three solid innings of relief. He gave up one run on five hits with three strikeouts and the win pushed his record to 2-0 on the season.
The GCL Tigers lost a tough one 1-0 to the GCL Phillies and a great start by Emmanuel Miguelez went to waste. He gave up just five hits and he struck out four in six shutout innings. Justin Miller took the loss but even the one run he gave up in the ninth was unearned and he fell to 0-1 on the season.
Two Tigers accounted for four of the five hits in the game. Carlos Ramirez and Christopher White each singled twice in the game.
Roger Tomas had a big day at the plate in the GCL Tigers 5-2 win over the GCL Blue Jays. All three of hits were doubles and he scored two runs. Hayden Parrott singled and he drove in two runs.

He went four for five with a double, a run and an RBI and the four hits pushed his season batting average to .412 on the season. Luis Arlet also had a nice game and he went three for four with two runs and two RBIs.
Charles Furbush was very impressive in five shutout innings. He gave up just one hit and two walks and he struck out ten in his first win of the season.
Craig Maddox had the big hit of the game in the GCL Tigers 7-5 win over the GCL Braves. He hit a big three run homer in the fifth inning. Hayden Parrott had a nice day at the plate and he went three for five with a run and an RBI.
Aaron Fuhrman improved to 1-2 with the win. He gave up four runs on eight hits with six strikeouts in five innings.
Emmanuel Miguelez fell to 0-1 on the season with a tough start in the GCL Tigers 11-3 blowout loss to the GCL Braves. He gave up five runs (four earned) on six hits in just two innings.
Luis Arlet went two for four with two runs. Marc McBratney went two for four with an RBI.
This was a tough one. The GCL Tigers’ hitters spotted their pitchers four runs in the first inning. They then made four errors that resulted in five unearned runs the rest of the way as they lost 7-4.
Carlos Ramirez went two for three with a double and an RBI. Luis Arlet singled, drove in two and scored one.
Chris Homer took the loss and he fell to 0-1. He gave up four runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk in just 1/3 of an inning.
