Ramon Garcia fell to 4-4 on the season as the SeaWolves lost to Akron 9-3 in their final game of the season. He gave up eight runs (six earned) on eleven hits in 3 1/3 innings.
Christopher White belted a home run and he drove in two. Shawn Roof went three for four with a solo homer.
Erie outhit Akron 11-6 but they stranded eleven base runners in a 4-3 loss. Brennan Boesch went three for five with a double and he scored two runs while Michael Bertram went three for five with a home run and two RBIs.
Jonah Nickerson gave up three runs in six innings in his start. Alfredo Figaro gave up an unearned run that proved to be the game winner and he fell to 6-3.
Erie blew a 3-0 lead in the eighth and ninth, scored a run in the tenth and then gave this one up as Brett Jensen gave up two runs in tenth in the SeaWolves 5-4 loss. Jensen took the loss and he fell to 5-5 and a solid start by Lauren Gagnier went to waste. He gave up a run on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in seven innings.
Brennan Boesch went two for five with a double, a home run and two RBIs. Michael Bertram went yard with a solo shot.
Erie managed just three hits in their 5-1 loss to Akron last night. Jeff Kunkel provided the SeaWolves lone run with a solo shot in the third inning.
A solid start by Jared Gayhart went to waste. He gave up two runs on five hits and four walks with a strikeout in 5 2/3 innings and the loss dropped him to 1-1 for the SeaWolves.
Erie won both games of their doubleheader with Harrisburg with some very solid pitching. Game one saw Alfredo Figaro throw three shutout innings of relief and he improved to 6-2 on the season. Jason Waddell threw two shutout innings to close out the game and he picked up his second save of the season. Brennan Boesch shined in this one and he went three for three with a home run and two runs.

Erie had a 7-4 lead in the top of the sixth but the Jonah Nickerson and Nolan Cain struggled in the final innings in an 8-7 loss to Harrisburg. Nickerson gave up seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. Nolan Cain gave up one run in 2 2/3 innings and he fell to 0-1 on the season.
Casper Wells went three for four with a solo home run, a walk and three runs. Deik Scram went two for five with a double and an RBI.
