Erie Beats Altoona to Finish Regular Season

by @ 4:21 pm. Filed under Dallas Trahern, Erie Seawolves - September 2007, Jeff Larish, Matthew Joyce, Michael Hernandez

Jeff Larish finished off his regular season with a bang as he went two for four with a grand slam homer.  It was Larish’s 28th of the season and t also put him over the century mark with 101 RBIs.  He also showed some patience at the plate with 87 walks and you wonder whether he’ll be pushed next year to take over at first place for the big league club.  A .906 OPS, even for a 24 year old, at the Double A level isn’t something to scoff at.

Matthew Joyce went three for four with a double, an RBI and two runs.  Michael Hernandez went two for four with a solo homer and two runs.  Dallas Trahern didn’t get a decision in his final start while Matthew Rusch improved to 6-1 with 1 1/3 innings of shutout relief.
