Tigers Minor League Baseball Blog

The GCL Tigers took care of the GCL Phillies behind yet another solid outing by Brandon Hamilton.  He gave up just two hits and he struck out three in five shutout innings and the win pushed his record to 3-0 since he was demoted to the GCL. 

Derek Lehrman doubled and drove in two runs in the 5-2 win.  Brandon Harrigan tripled, drew a walk, drove in a run and scored two.

Darlin Duran didn’t get the win but he threw a nice enough game as the GCL Tigers played a close one with the GCL Indians.  Duran gave up one run on two hits and a walk with one strikeout in five innings.  Jade Todd picked up the win and he struck out three in three innings of relief.

Derek Lehrman doubled, drove in a run and scored.  Alden Carrithers singled, walked twice and scored a run.

After a couple of rain outs, the GCL Tigers finished with a split in their Indendence Day doubleheader with the GCL Yankees.  In the first game, the Tigers lost 1-0 and they were held to just a pair of singles.  Aaron Fuhrman took the loss despite a solid start.  He gave up one run on three hits and two walks with six strikeouts in five innings.

The second game went a bit better with the Tigers doubling up the Yankees 6-3.  Derek Lehrman was the hitting star and he went two for three with a homerun and two RBIs.  Jay Sborz picked up the win with two shutout innings of relief.
