Clemente Mendoza Has Solid Start In Tigers Win

Clemente Mendoza improved to 1-0 on the season with a nice start in the Connecticut Tigers 6-3 win over Lowell.  He gave up three runs on five hits and four walks with five strikeouts in six innings.  Robbie Weinhardt struck out three in two shutout innings of relief and Brennan Smith pitched a shutout ninth for his first save of the season.

PJ Polk went two for four with two runs.  Josh Ashenbrenner went two for three with a triple, a walk, a run and an RBI.
