The White Caps won the Midwest League championship for the second straight year as they came back from a 5-3 deficit to score eight runs in the fifth inning to turn the game into a rout. Michael Bertram went three for five with a triple, two RBIs and a run while Scott Sizemore went three for five with an RBI and two runs.
Charles Furbush was roughed up and he gave up five runs in just two innings. Luis Marte was impressive though and he threw five shutout innings of relief in which he struck out nine runs.
The Tigers 2007 fourth round draft pick, Charles Furbush was finally brought back down to earth as he lost his first minor league game since joining the Tigers. He gave up four runs (all in the fourth) on seven hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in five innings.
Ryan Strieby went two for four with a homer and two RBIs. Michael Bertram went two for five with a double, a triple and a run.
Joseph Tucker singled home Santo De Leon in the bottom of the ninth inning to win it for the White Caps. James Skelton went two for four with a double and two runs while Jeramy Laster went two for four with two RBIs.
Brett Jensen picked up the win and he improved to 5-1 despite giving up the tying run in the top of the ninth inning. Charles Furbush had another nice start and gave up two runs on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts in six frames.
Charles Furbush improved to 4-0 with yet another nice start in the White Caps 6-1 win over the Loons. He gave up just a single run on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in seven very solid innings.
Brennan Boesch went two for three with a walk, an RBI, a double and two runs. Jordan Newton went two for four with a triple and two RBIs.
Charles Furbush continued his domination of the lower ends of the minor league system with another nice start in the White Caps 4-2 win over Wisconsin. He gave up just two runs on five hits with ten strikeouts in seven innings of work. Since joining the White Caps, he’s struck out 28 and walked just four in 27 2/3 innings.
Ryan Strieby belted a solo homer in the win. Audy Ciraco went two for three with a double, a triple and a run.
Charles Furbush improved to 2-0 on the season with a nice start in the White Caps 3-1 win over Peoria. The Tigers 2007 fourth round draft pick gave up just one uneared run on two hits with three strikeouts in five innings of solid relief.
James Skelton was the hitting star in the win and he played a role in all three White Caps win. He went two for four with two runs and an RBI.
The White Caps couldn’t get much done at the plate as they were held to just four hits. Brennan Boesch belted a solo homerun and Joseph Tucker reached base three times with a single, two walks and an RBI.
Kelvin Cedano gave up two runs in two innings of relief and he took the loss. A nice start by Charles Furbush went to waste and he gave up just one run on six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in five innings.
Ryan Strieby had a big day at the plate in the White Caps 11-2 blowout win over the Bees. He went three for four with two homeruns, four RBIs and three runs. Brennan Boesch also had a big day and he went two for five with a double, a homerun and four RBIs.

Charles Furbush improved to 2-0 on the season with a nice start in the GCL Tigers 6-2 win over the GCL Yankees. He gave up two runs on six hits and he struck out six in six innings of work.
Hayden Parrott went two for five with a run and an RBI. Christopher White went one for three with three walks, a run and an RBI.
Hayden Parrott had another nice day at the plate in the GCL Tigers 9-2 win over the GCL Blue Jays. He went four for five with a double, a run and an RBI and the four hits pushed his season batting average to .412 on the season. Luis Arlet also had a nice game and he went three for four with two runs and two RBIs.
Charles Furbush was very impressive in five shutout innings. He gave up just one hit and two walks and he struck out ten in his first win of the season.
